Once the Commission starts functioning formally, the Staff Side is expected to submit a detailed memorandum covering common service matters of Central Government employees.
In this context, the NC JCM (Staff Side) has decided to convene a meeting of its Drafting Committee to plan the process and modalities for preparing the memorandum. The meeting will be held on 25 February 2026 at 10:30 AM at the NC JCM office located at 13-C, Ferozshah Road, New Delhi.
The communication further states that members of the Drafting Committee will be required to stay in Delhi for about a week starting from 25 February 2026. During this period, discussions will be held to finalise proposals on various topics and issues to be included in the memorandum to be submitted before the 8th Central Pay Commission.
The letter has been issued by Shiva Gopal Mishra, Secretary, NC JCM (Staff Side), and copies have been circulated to all constituent organisations of the Council for information.
This development indicates that employee representatives have begun internal groundwork in anticipation of consultations with the 8th Pay Commission, particularly on pay, allowances, pension, and other service-related demands of Central Government employees.
