Aadhaar Charges Update: UIDAI Revised Aadhaar related updation charges, see New UIDAI Charges related to Aadhaar wef Oct 1st

New Delhi: From October 1, 2025, updating Aadhaar details will cost more, as the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has revised service charges for demographic, biometric, and document-related updates.

New Aadhaar updation charges will remain in effect until September 30, 2028, followed by another fee cycle from October 1, 2028, to September 30, 2031.

Aadhaar Charges Updation (2025–2028)

  • Demographic updates (name, address, phone, etc.): ₹75 (earlier ₹50)
  • Biometric updates (fingerprint, iris, photo): ₹125 (earlier ₹100)
  • Document updates at enrolment centre: ₹75 (earlier ₹50)
  • Document updates via myAadhaar portal: Free till June 14, 2026

Free Aadhaar Updation

  • Mandatory biometric updates at ages 5–7 years and 15–17 years will continue to be free.
  • Additionally, UIDAI has waived biometric update charges for children aged 7–15 years till September 30, 2026 to encourage timely updates.
