Aviation News: DGCA Launches Auto-Generation of Computer Numbers for Flight Crew Applicants via Pariksha Portal
NEW DELHI: Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has launched an auto-generation system for Computer Numbers for Flight Crew (FC) candidates applying through the Pariksha portal, effective October 16, 2025.
This aims to ease the application process, reduce manual intervention, and promote ease of doing business by leveraging the DigiLocker platform for document verification. With this, candidates will no longer need to submit physical copies of certificates, as the system will automatically verify documents online.
Under Phase I, the facility is being made available to candidates who have passed their 10th and 12th examinations under the CBSE Board, provided their mark sheets are successfully verified through DigiLocker.
In later phases, the feature will be extended to students from other recognized education boards whose certificates are also linked to DigiLocker.
Once eligibility is verified, a computer number will be generated instantly upon successful submission of the application on the DGCA Pariksha website.
The initiative follows the directions of Civil Aviation Minister Shri Rammohan Naidu Kinjarapu, who has emphasized complete digitization of DGCA and BCAS processes through platforms like eGCA, to ensure faster, transparent, and paperless services for pilots, students, and other aviation stakeholders.
This marks another step under the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ vision toward building a fully digital aviation ecosystem and improving the ease of flying in India.
