Banking News: BOI-MPGB begins same day cheque Clearing from October 4, 2025
Customers Advised to Maintain Sufficient Balance and Confirm Positive Pay for High-Value Cheques
New Delhi: Bank of India (BOI) and Madhya Pradesh Gramin Bank (MPGB) have announced that continuous cheque clearing operations have commenced from October 4, 2025. This is followed by a circular by Reserve Bank of India.
Customers are getting alerts “boi-mpgb continuous clearing will commence from 04/10/2025. maintain sufficient balance and confirm positive-pay for high value cheques to avoid rejection.“
Under the new Cheque Truncation System (CTS), cheques deposited between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. will be scanned and transmitted instantly to the central clearing house.

Customers are advised to maintain a sufficient account balance and ensure Positive Pay confirmation for high-value cheques to avoid rejection or return during clearing.
