BONGOPEX 2025: Department of Posts to organize 10th State Level Philatelic Exhibition at Science City, Kolkata

Kolkata News: West Bengal Postal Circle has announced BONGOPEX 2025, the 10th State Level Philatelic Exhibition, to be held from November 14 to 17, 2025, at Science City, Kolkata, West Bengal.

Organized by the Department of Posts, with active participation from Philatelic Societies and Associations of West Bengal, Sikkim, and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The event aims to promote philately and nurture new talent among stamp collectors.

In the message, Shri Ashok Kumar, Chief Postmaster General, West Bengal, Sikkim, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, said that “Philately has exhilarated generations of hobbyists across the world. BONGOPEX 2025 will celebrate this passion by offering a rich mix of exhibits, workshops, and competitions designed to inspire young minds and promote the ‘King of Hobbies’.”

The exhibition will feature around 400 frames showcasing rare and diverse stamp collections, along with interactive sessions, letter writing, quiz, stamp designing, sit & draw, and philatelic workshops.

During the event, special covers, cancellations, and other philatelic ancillaries will be released daily. A multi-colour souvenir containing articles on philately, advertisements, and a list of participants will also be published.

Applications for exhibits and dealer booths are open as per the following schedule:

• Receipt of entries: October 18–28, 2025
• Last date for Dealer’s Booth Application: October 21, 2025
• Allotment of frames: October 29–31, 2025
• Exhibit & Booth fee payment deadline: October 31, 2025
• Receipt of exhibits: November 1–12, 2025
