DoP Approves 58% Dearness Allowance for Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) Effective from July 1, 2025

New Delhi: Department of Posts, under the Ministry of Communications, has announced an increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS), following the DA increase for Central Government employees.

The new 58% DA on the basic Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA) will be effective from July 1, 2025.

The DA hike order is issued via letter No. PP-14/1/2021-PAP dated October 10, 2025, follows the decision of the Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure (O.M. No. 1/4(i)/2025-E.II(B) dated October 6, 2025), which sanctioned a fresh installment of DA for Central Government employees.

The same benefit has now been extended to all the Gramin Dak Sevak employees (GDS).
