ECI Seeks Public Suggestions to Make ECINet App More User-Friendly; Official Launch in January 2026
New Delhi: Election Commission of India (ECI) has invited citizens across the country to provide suggestions to improve its ECINet mobile application.
The feedback window has been opened from November 27 to December 27, 2025, and users can submit their inputs directly through the “Submit a Suggestion” tab available inside the app.
ECINet platform is currently in its trial phase, was used during the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 and the recent by-elections. The app provided enhanced election-related services, including real-time polling percentage trends and publishing of Index Cards within 72 hours of poll completion — a task that previously required weeks.
Based on observations from Bihar’s election officials, including CEOs, DEOs, EROs, Observers, and field teams, multiple improvements are now being worked on to strengthen the app’s functionality.
Election Commission will review public suggestions and integrate suitable enhancements before the final rollout of the platform. The official launch of ECINet is scheduled for January 2026.
ECINet is one of the major digital transformation initiatives of the Election Commission aimed at improving voter convenience and boosting transparency in election processes.
Development of the app began on May 4, 2023, under the leadership of Chief Election Commissioner Shri Gyanesh Kumar along with Election Commissioners Dr. Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Dr. Vivek Joshi.
Once fully launched, ECINet will serve as a single unified interface, integrating nearly 40 separate election-related digital services such as Voter Helpline, cVIGIL, Saksham, Polling Trends, Know Your Candidate, and others — eliminating the need for multiple apps. It is currently available on both the Google Play Store and the Apple Store.
