Finance Ministry to roll out New GIFMIS Portal for Treasury Users Across All Ministries and Departments from October 6

New Delhi: Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure, Office of the Controller General of Accounts (CGA), has announced the universal rollout of the new GIFMIS (Government Integrated Financial Management Information System) Portal — https://www.gifmis.cga.gov.in — for all Treasury Users of PFMS (Public Financial Management System) with effect from October 6, 2025.

It follows the earlier Corrigendum Office Memorandum dated August 20, 2025, which had put the rollout on hold. According to the new Office Memorandum (F. No. I-12024/2/2023-CGA/e-14519/389), this rollout is to enhance system performance, manage increased user load, and improve overall user experience on the PFMS platform.

Key Points from the Circular

• The new GIFMIS URL (https://www.gifmis.cga.gov.in) will become active from October 6, 2025.
• All Treasury users of PAOs in Ministries/Departments — including PD, DDO, AAO, PAO, Pr.AO and related roles — will be migrated to the new portal.
• After migration, users will not be able to log in through the existing PFMS portal (https://www.pfms.nic.in).
• Users already registered for FIDO authentication will need to re-register on the new GIFMIS portal. A user manual for FIDO registration has also been provided.
• Principal CCAs, CCAs, and CAs with independent charge have been instructed to disseminate this information widely to ensure seamless migration.
