FPS Shooter Valorant Released New Agent 29 Veto: Know Abilities, Ultimate, Best Maps and Pro Tips

GServants TechDesk: Valorant’s latest Agent 29, Veto, is officially here – and he’s unlike any Sentinel we’ve seen before. Designed to counter the utility-heavy meta, Veto’s unique ability allows him to destroy enemy gadgets, block debuffs, and even teleport across the map. This is the seventh Sentinel in Valorant’s roster.

All Veto Abilities Explained

1. Crosscut (C)

Veto’s Crosscut equips a vortex energy ball that allows teleportation within its range. Players can place it strategically during the buy phase and use it later to escape or flank.

Tip: Great for repositioning or creating unpredictable crossfires.

2. Chokehold (Q)

Throws a Mutated Slime Trap that snares, deafens, and weakens enemies who walk through it.

Tip: Combine with area-damage abilities like Raze grenades or Brimstone molotovs for maximum impact.

3. Interceptor (E)

Veto’s signature Interceptor deploys a Phage that neutralizes enemy gadgets like Raze’s Boom Bot or Gekko’s Wingman.

Tip: Hide it in unpredictable corners — it has only 20 HP and can be destroyed quickly.

4. Evolution (X – Ultimate)

Veto’s Evolution transforms him into a mutated powerhouse with health regeneration, immunity to stuns and slows, and enhanced combat strength.

Tip: Use it to push through utility-heavy areas or retake sites confidently. It requires 7 ultimate orbs to charge its Ultimate ability.

Pro Tips to Master Veto

  • Set Up Early: Place Crosscut beacons before fights; activating them mid-battle exposes you.
  • Play Smart Defense: Use Interceptor to counter post-plant setups.
  • Combo with Team Utility: During Evolution, friendly stuns or slows won’t affect you — charge through while teammates create chaos.

Best Maps to Play Veto

  • Sunset: Perfect for teleport traps and flanking plays.
  • Bind: Tight chokepoints make Chokehold highly effective.
  • Corrode: Ideal for holding sites solo using teleport repositioning.
