New Vande Bharat Train: PM Modi flagged off new Vande Bharat Express on this route, check time table and route details
A new Vande Bharat Express Train has started running between Gorakhpur and Patliputra. Experts suggest that this new train will boost the connectivity via railways between the two states of India, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
The new 6502/Gorakhpur – Patliputra Vande Bharat Express was flagged off by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Sri Narendra Modi on Friday.

The train departed at 5:46 am in the morning from Gorakhpur Junction Railway Station. The train covers important stations including Bagaha, Narkatiaganj, Bettiah, Muzaffarpur, and Hajipur, before arriving at Patliputra Junction at 12:45 pm. For the return journey, it will leave Patliputra at 3:30 PM and reach Gorakhpur by 10:30 PM. The journey that earlier took 10–12 hours will now take just 7 hours.
Loco Pilot Arun Kumar, Assistant Loco Pilot Vijay Kumar, and Train Manager R.A. Yadav took the train, including railway staffs on that day.
Passengers onboard the train for the first time are happy with the comfort and speed of the Vande Bharat Express. Indian Railways officials expressed confidence that the new Vande Bharat Express would be beneficial for passengers to save time.
