NHAI Internship Program 2025: A Golden Opportunity for Students to Work on National Highway Projects, Stipend upto Rs. 15000 per month
NHAI Internship Program: National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced NHAI Internship Program 2025, offering students a chance to get hands-on experience in the transportation and highway sectors of India. This internship is sponsored by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. This program aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world industry exposure for students.
Projects under NHAI
Under this scheme, students will get the opportunity to work on various aspects of national highway development, including toll systems, GIS functions, roadside amenities, and ropeway data management. Selected candidates will contribute directly to national infrastructure projects & National Highway projects to develop their skills for career building.
Eligibilty
NHAI internship is open to all students who are Indian citizens aged 21 to 24 and have completed or are pursuing ITI, Diploma, or Undergraduate degrees in any government-recognized college. For those pursuing or having completed post-graduate studies in Geo-Informatics or Remote Sensing, they will get special positions work roles during the internship. Applicants must have scored at least 70% marks in their previous academic records, with no present backlogs.
Application Process
Applications must be submitted online only. Interested candidates can apply through the official websites: https://internship.aicte-india.org/ or http://www.nhai.gov.in. Applications received through any other mode will not be accepted by NHAI.
Stipends
The internship will take place at the NHAI Headquarters in Dwarka, New Delhi. Students will do internship for a period of up to two months. During this time, undergraduate interns will receive a stipend of ₹10,000 per month and post-graduate interns will get ₹15,000 per month. Apart from the stipend, any other accommodation or travel will not be provided to the candidates.

Selection & Work Profile
Selection for the internship will be based entirely on academic merit. NHAI reserves the right to set add eligibility and selection criteria depending on the number of applications received.
Interns will be responsible for submitting a detailed report of their work upon internship completion. All data and work products created during the internship will remain the intellectual property of NHAI. Interns must maintain at least 75% attendance during the full internship period to receive the experience certificate at the end of the internship.
The interns are expected to follow all work rules and ethics set by NHAI. They must bring their own laptops, while NHAI will provide workspace, internet, and other necessary facilities. Students are also required to submit an undertaking for joining the internship at their own will.
