Online Gaming News: Government Seeks Public Feedback on Draft Online Gaming Rules 2025
New Delhi: Government of India has invited public feedback on the draft Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Rules, 2025, which outline a regulatory framework for the online gaming sector, including e-sports and social games.
According to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), the draft rules have been prepared under Section 19 of the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025, and aim to establish clear norms for the recognition, categorization, and registration of online games.

- Regulatory framework for online games, including categorisation and registration.

- Grievance redressal mechanisms for players and stakeholders.
Public Consultation Invitation
Ministry has invited citizens, stakeholders, and industry representatives to submit feedback and suggestions on the draft rules by October 31, 2025. Responses can be sent via email to [email protected]. The Ministry has clarified that individual feedback will remain confidential and will not be disclosed at any stage of this process.
