SDBS contribution for GDS: What is it, and why does the Department cut Rs. 300 from your GDS TRCA every month?
SDBS contribution is important for all working GDS employees in the Department of Posts, Government of India. SDBS full form is Service Discharge Benefit Scheme(SDBS).
With the approval of the Competent Authority, the department implemented the recommendations of the one-man Committee on Social Security Benefits for Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDSs).
The nomenclature of Ex-gratia gratuity is revised as “GDS Gratuity”. The Ex-gratia Gratuity, Severance Amount, and SDBS contribution shall be revised as follows: –

This OM was issued in consultation with the Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure vide their ID Note No., 3(1)/E-Vl2018 dated 05.04.2018 and is effective from 01.07.2018.
