State Bank of India: SBI Card to Levy 1% Fee on Education and Wallet Transactions from November 2026
New Delhi: SBI Card has announced changes to its transaction fee structure, effective November 1, 2025. SBI Cards will now add a 1% transaction fee on selected education payments and wallet load transactions made via State Bank of India credit cards.

What are the New charges on SBI Credit Cards
According to SBI Card, the transaction fee will apply to education payments made through third-party platforms using SBI Credit Cards. But any kind of direct educational payments to schools or colleges via their official websites or POS machines will remain exempt. Additionally, a 1% fee will be charged on wallet top-ups exceeding ₹1,000.
SBI Cards has also announced reward point benefits from October 1 for shopping on Ajio and JioMart. Under the scheme, Reliance SBI Card PRIME users earn 20 reward points per ₹100 spent, and other SBI Card holders earn 10 points per ₹100.
SBI Card also confirmed that from September 16, 2025, all CPP customers have been automatically migrated to updated plan variants based on their renewal dates.
