This Diwali, Gift a FASTag Annual Pass for Hassle-Free Highway Travel: Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH)

New Delhi: Ministry of Road Transport & Highways has introduced a festive initiative — “Gift a FASTag Annual Pass” — under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav campaign, making it easier for travelers to enjoy smooth and cashless journeys on National Highways across India.

The new FASTag Annual Pass can now be gifted through the Rajmargyatra App. Users can simply tap on the “Add Pass” option, enter the vehicle number and contact details of the recipient, and complete a quick OTP verification. Once verified, the annual pass gets automatically activated on the FASTag linked to that vehicle.

The FASTag annual pass costs Rs. 3000only, the pass has one-year validity or 200 toll plaza crossings, whichever comes first. It’s available for non-commercial vehicles and applicable across 1,150 toll plazas nationwide. The pass removes the need for frequent recharges and ensures a yearlong hassle-free travel experience.

Launched on 15th August 2025, the FASTag Annual Pass has already gained huge adoption by car owners, with over 25 lakh users and 5.67 crore transactions recorded within just two months.

Ministry of Road Transport & Highways noted that this overwhelming response reflects users’ growing preference for convenient, contactless travel on India’s expanding highway network.
