8th Pay Commission: Government Clarifies Implementation Date and Fitment Factor Status
New Delhi: Government has clarified that the 8th Central Pay Commission has not yet submitted its recommendations, and therefore no final decision has been taken on the implementation date or the fitment factor for revising the salaries and pensions of Central Government employees and pensioners.
The clarification was provided by Minister of State for Finance Shri Pankaj Chaudhary in response to an Unstarred Question No. 3456 in the Lok Sabha on August 10, 2026.
8th CPC Recommendations Yet to Be Submitted
The government has clearly stated that the 8th Central Pay Commission has not submitted its recommendations to the Government yet.
