State Bank of India: SBI UPI Services Restored After Temporary Outage; Bank Apologises for Inconvenience

New Delhi: State Bank of India (SBI) on Monday confirmed that its UPI services have been fully restored after facing temporary technical issues earlier in the evening. SBI UPI outage had caused multiple transaction failures for bank customers across the country.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), SBI stated, “We are facing intermittent technical issues in SBI UPI, due to which some customers may face temporary declines in UPI services. This will be resolved by 19:45 Hrs IST dated 07.10.2025.”

The bank also advised users to continue using UPI Lite for uninterrupted transactions during the downtime.

Later, the bank issued an update confirming the resolution of the issue: “SBI UPI services are now available since 19:30 Hrs IST, 07.10.2025. We regret the inconvenience caused to our customers.”

The brief UPI disruption came at a time when UPI transactions are seeing record growth in India. Millions of smartphone users rely on the UPI payment service for everyday payments. SBI assured customers that all systems are now stable and functioning normally.
