PM Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana, with an allocation of ₹24,000 crore, aims to boost agricultural productivity, promote crop diversification, and encourage sustainable farming practices in farming. The initiative will focus on enhancing farmers’ income through scientific techniques, better irrigation, and improved access to farm infrastructure.
The Mission for Aatmanirbharta in Pulses, with a budget of ₹11,000 crore, is designed to make India self-sufficient in pulse production. The scheme will focus on increasing productivity, expanding cultivation areas, and strengthening the value chain — including procurement, storage, and processing — to reduce post-harvest losses and dependence on imports.
During the launch event, Hon’ble Prime Minister Modi will also interact with farmers, particularly those engaged in pulse cultivation and members of Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) who have benefited from initiatives like the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF).
