Indian Railways: Railway Board Opens Correction Window in HRMS Transfer (UDIT) Module to Fix Data Errors
NEW DELHI: Railway Board has allowed a special correction window in the Transfer (UDIT) Module of the Human Resource Management System (HRMS).
An O.M. was issued vide Railway Board Order No. PC-VII/2025/HRMS/27 dated October 3, 2025, which will enable railway units to make corrections in data entries related to various types of employee transfers.
The UDIT Module is an upgraded version of the Transfer Module, launched in June 2025, was introduced to automate and manage all administrative procedures concerning staff transfers in Indian Railways.

As part of the implementation, all Railway Units were directed to input details of outgoing and incoming transfer applications and assign priority numbers accordingly.
However, the Railway Board received multiple representations from employees and field offices citing discrepancies in the priority lists and errors made while migrating data to the UDIT Module. In some cases, applications were incorrectly marked as inactive, affecting transfer priority.
After reviewing the issue, the Railway Board has decided to allow corrections in both outgoing and incoming priority lists and related statuses within the UDIT system.
Any modification, addition, or deletion must be approved personally by the Principal Chief Personnel Officer (PCPO) of the concerned Zone or Production Unit, based on recommendations from the Senior DPO/Dy.CPO and DRM/CWM/HOD of the respective unit.
The correction facility will remain open for two months from the date the CRIS team deploys the workflow. Railway Board also removed the responsibility for assigning transfer priorities—and for any related RTI, CPGRAM, or legal matters—rests entirely with the heads of field offices, including Zonal Railways and Production Units.
