Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Issues Notice on Fee Payment — Warns Against Cash Transactions at School Counters

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has issued an important advisory to all regional offices and schools to raise awareness among parents and students regarding the official modes of fee payment through the Union Bank of India (UBI) Fee Portal.

The notice, dated October 17, 2025, was issued by Joint Commissioner (Finance) Satya Narain Gulia from KVS Headquarters, New Delhi.

According to the circular, all Deputy Commissioners of KVS Regional Offices have been instructed to ensure wide publicity of the fee payment process by publishing the notice on the official websites of regional offices and individual Kendriya Vidyalayas. Schools have also been asked to display flex banners carrying an important message:

“Fees are not payable in cash at the Vidyalaya counter or through any KVS employee (permanent or contractual). Any financial loss due to violation of these instructions will be the sole responsibility of the parents or students.”

Valid Modes of Fee Payment

KVS has clearly listed the approved online and offline payment options for fee submission through the UBI Fee Portal:

Online Modes:

  • Debit Cards (Visa, Master, Maestro, Rupay)
  • Credit Cards (Visa, Master, Rupay)
  • Internet Banking / Mobile Banking
  • UPI
  • POS Machines (available where no UBI branch exists within 8 km)
  • BBPS (Bharat Bill Pay) enabled apps or channels

Offline Mode:

  • Payment through a physical challan at any branch of Union Bank of India

Parents are advised not to hand over cash to any school staff or attempt fee payments outside the official portal. The authentic UBI Fee Portal link for all Kendriya Vidyalayas is:

After completing the payment, parents can download the genuine UBI fee receipt directly from the portal by clicking the “Print Receipt” button.

The circular aims to ensure secure, transparent, and uniform fee payment for all KVS students across India and to prevent any unauthorized transactions or fraud.
