PM Kisan 21st Installment: PM Modi to Release 21st PM-KISAN Instalment on November 19
NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will release the 21st instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) on November 19, 2025, continuing one of the Centre’s largest direct benefit transfer schemes aimed at supporting India’s farmers.
Launched on February 24, 2019, PM-KISAN provides ₹6,000 per year to every eligible farmer family in three equal instalments. According to the Agriculture Ministry, more than ₹3.70 lakh crore has already been transferred directly into the bank accounts of over 11 crore farmer families across the country through the previous 20 instalments.

The ministry said the financial assistance has helped farmers manage essential costs such as seeds, fertilizers, and other farm inputs, while also supporting household expenses including education, medical needs, and marriage-related costs.
Only those farmers whose land records are updated on the PM-KISAN portal and whose bank accounts are Aadhaar-seeded receive the benefits.
To ensure maximum coverage, the Centre has conducted several village-level saturation campaigns to identify and include all eligible cultivable land-owning farmers.
A 2019 study by the International Food and Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) found that PM-KISAN funds have helped boost rural economic activity, eased credit constraints, and encouraged higher investment in farm inputs—reinforcing the impact of direct income support.
The central government is now working on a comprehensive farmer registry, designed to streamline access to welfare schemes and reduce the paperwork burden on beneficiaries.
According to the ministry, this database will ensure faster, simpler, and more transparent delivery of support to farmers nationwide.
With the upcoming 21st instalment, the Modi government continues to emphasize timely financial support as a crucial pillar of rural and agricultural development.
