FinMin Releases Fresh CGEGIS Savings Fund Benefit Tables for Oct–Dec 2025

NEW DELHI: Ministry of Finance has issued the latest Tables of Benefits under the Central Government Employees Group Insurance Scheme (CGEGIS), 1980, applicable for the quarter from October 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025.

The new tables have been released through an Office Memorandum dated 12 November 2025 by the Department of Expenditure (E-V Branch).

These quarterly tables, a practice followed since 2017, outline the updated savings fund benefits payable to central government employees and their nominees.

The calculations for this quarter have been prepared by IRDA based on the 7.1% annual interest rate, compounded quarterly, as notified by the Department of Economic Affairs in its resolution dated 10 October 2025.

As in previous quarters, two sets of benefit tables have been issued. The first applies to employees contributing ₹10 per month from January 1982 to December 1989 and ₹15 per month from January 1990 onwards. The second table applies to those who continued with the ₹10 per month subscription even after 1 January 1990.

The order also confirms that, for employees of the Indian Audit and Accounts Department, the notification has been issued in consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, in line with constitutional requirements under Article 148(5).

A Hindi version of the order has also been provided along with the release.

With the new quarter beginning, these updated CGEGIS benefit tables will guide departments in finalising claims for central government employees retiring, exiting service, or for settlement of benefits to their families.
