Aadhaar News: UIDAI Set to Launch New Aadhaar App to Boost Secure Offline Verification Across India

Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is preparing to launch a new Aadhaar App designed to strengthen and simplify the offline verification process for residents.

According to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, the upcoming app will enable secure, paperless identity sharing and allow users to verify or share their complete or selective Aadhaar information without relying on internet connectivity.

Ahead of the official rollout, UIDAI conducted an informative webinar showcasing how the new app will work and what benefits it brings. Participants received a detailed walkthrough of key features, including offline face verification for proof of presence and the ability to share identity details safely without exposing unnecessary data.

UIDAI CEO Bhuvnesh Kumar emphasized that the new Aadhaar App is aimed at making digital identity services more convenient, secure, and accessible.

With rising demand for secure digital verification across services, the Aadhaar App is expected to become an important tool for both citizens and institutions once launched.
